Dr. Philip Balcaen, ND
Dr. Philip Balcaen is the founder and practicing Naturopathic Doctor at Sardis Naturopathic Medical Clinic Inc. since its inception in 2000. Dr. Balcaen started his training at the University of Waterloo with Honours for his Bachelors Degree in Health Science, followed by attendance at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1998. Dr. Balcaen graduated with recognition in assessment/diagnostic skills and contributions to the development in Naturopathic education. He followed this with a teaching residency at CCNM. In 2000, Dr. Balcaen started Sardis Naturopathic Medical Clinic in Chilliwack and has been providing care over the last 20 years.

Dr. Balcaen's approach has developed over the years of practice and includes a focus on complex chronic conditions that require a multi-systems approach. Our tools include a thorough intake allowing as a start to understanding what is behind the symptoms, disease process, functional considerations and a person centered understanding. Incorporating specialized lab tests such as hormone, ALCAT food sensitivity, organic acid, microbiome and digestive system, cardiovascular risk factors, Lyme and co-infection testing and routine lab-work are considered. Dr. Darren Gorrell ND is a graduate of the Bachelor Institute of Naturopathic Medicine class of 2005. His interest in Naturopathic Medicine began at an early age with family visits to the local health food store in Delta BC, where he was born and raised. Dr. Darren Gorrell's interest in healing has been nourished over the years with a passion for nature and the outdoors.

Dr. Darren Gorrell ND holds certifications in Prescriptive Authority, Intravenous Therapy, Chelation Therapy, and advanced Injection Therapy.
